What is a "Pipe" razor?

As you can see in the attached pix the handle of this razor is marked "THE TRUE PIPE RAZOR". The marking on the tang is F. FENNES/SHEFFIED/WARANTED it also has an icon of a skinny black cat running. Any information on what the difference between a pipe razor and straight razor would be appreciated. Thanks

Actually, I thought the "true" Pipe Razors were Wostenholm and Sons an other Sheffield MFG. Lynn
