What is an Endura (a 1, I believe, help me identify) worth?

At my local archery shop, there are 2 Spyderco knives "in stock" (they're sitting on a shelf behind the counter), both knives are sitting on top of the boxes (which don't look like the current boxes).

Only the sticker on one of the boxes was visible to me, and it said Endura 04/10/2001, and had the knife sitting on top of it. The other knife I think was a Delica, because it pretty much looked like a larger version of the Endura (silver blade, plain edge, black handle, looks like FRN maybe).

The Endura was like $41, so I'm wondering if I would be able to buy it and sell it for more money... unless it isn't commonly collected.

Sounds like a regular old Endura. The price is decent if you want it, but not a great price to turn a profit on.

Hmmm... well then... I was just thinking that since there are like Endura 4's out now, this one might be worth something.

I believe the Endura is one of Spyderco's top sellers. A plain black handled Endura made in 2001, is quite common. $41 is a fair and common price for an Endura.

Still a great knife, which some people prefer over the newer more advanced E4 (mostly due to slightly different handle shape and a finer blade point).

your sure that you are looking at a endura and not the delica, the endura is the larger of the two I only ask because of your wording

Aside from this the endura is a great knive and well worth the $41 (although I like the blade shape of the E4 better)

I was thinking that the Endura was the larger, but either way, it was the Endura and Delica :)

I'm not really interested in buying the knife for myself (figured I might could make a quick buck), as I have other knives to buy now, and other Spydies higher on my list (Stretch 2 or Manix... Smallfly for sure) :)

I would wait and see what it does, you could probably talk them down to about 30 if it sits for a while. Of course, it might walk by the time you make it back to the shop.
