What is "antique stag bone"?

Cowbone that was worked on with a router shaped and dyed to look like stag.
Done well it isn't awful.
But it isn't stag.
:D

Why would you assume it's synthetic. Sounds like it's exactly what it says it is.

Because it's not sold as "Sambar stag", or "Axis deer antler". It's called "stag bone" when it clearly doesn't look like bone. And what's "antique" about it?

That explains the "bone" part. I didn't realize that it was a natural material. How's it hold up over time?

After looking at their site, I would assume it's bone (cow?) that has been jigged and stressed to look like old, work stag. It's not synthetic.

It's 2/3 the opposite of what it says it is. It isn't stag and it isn't antique, but it is bone. :D

Ebbtide described it well. It's bone that's jigged and dyed so as to appear vaguely like aged stag.

I've got a BRKT with antique stag bone, and it does look alright, better than this poor picture indicates.

Would "antiqued" be a better descriptor than "antique"?

The adjectival use is probably more in line with usage of the word in paint color, e.g., "Antique White", which refers to "dingy, not quite clean white".

So "antique stag bone" would translate to "bone made to look vaguely similar to antique stag".
