I've been wanting the buck 306 duet because it was 1) a Buck 2) USA made 3) had scissors and blade only. Well I went to Cabela's the other day and well I looked at it and was VERY surprised to find how small it really was. I had read sizes and looked at it many times online but it never really clicked until the other day when I seen it.

Well now I'm wondering if there is any other knives basically like it just bigger. I'm not looking for a Victorinox or such as I own many of those. I'm wanting one with I think yellow derlin, or stag handles. Something along those lines. Thanks for an info. Ash

Case is offering a version of the Peanut with scissors. The offerings I'm seeing are in Abalone (w/a bail) and a 'Camo' zytel version. It's a little bigger at 2-7/8", than the Buck (2-5/8"). That 1/4" difference sometimes looks more significant on smaller knives, though. The abalone version looks NICE (I might have to get one of these; WOW!). This particular vendor indicates it's back-ordered, so I don't know about availability. Aside from the SAK-style knives, I don't know of any larger ones.

Here's a pic of the Abalone model:

And the 'Camo' zytel version:

I have no idea where to find one but I could swear that I saw a Case 087 pattern somewhere with a clip blade and scissors in place of the pen blade. The 087 pattern is 3 1/4 inches closed.

Looks like you weren't hallucinating. Here's a reference to a finished listing for a stag version (52087; 1995 vintage):

There don't seem to be a lot of these out there, but at least it's a possibility. Other examples I'm seeing are all 1995 models.
