what is Blade Show's knife policy (as in, are you allowed to bring?)

I wanted to bring a knife to Blade Show and meet with the maker of it and ask about potential mods he may have, but I wasn't sure if it was allowed. Also, I think I recall reading in another thread on these forums that bringing one knife to the show was okay, but I can't be sure. Does anyone know for sure*** what you can and cannot bring?

Sure you can bring knives. Almost all there will have more than one knife on them.

There was an April Fools going around the past two years in the Busse room about the Bladeshow rules(Big Dave fooled a few, lol).

Is open carry of a Becker Necker acceptable or legal in GA/ATL?

As far as I know, not yet.

Not until SB 308 gets passed anyway, though I can't be sure if SB 308 carries over to knives as well.

The Blade show is out of Atlanta. The newest GA law did away with blade length, and now states any knife made to be used for offence or defence is illegal to carry(I take that as fighting style knives??). The city of Atlanta may still have a blade length law also, I'm not sure.
I'm north of ATL, but often wear my neck knives out in public as long as its not tactical looking.

Nothing matters when it's Blade show time though, as far as i can tell. I have been to dinners in the past few years were all would have knives on there side, and many very large.

Now if you don't have knives on you at Blade you may look a bit out of place:p

Definitely safe to enter with, and to carry knives around at the show ;)

One thing that really amused me to see last year was the long line of people waiting at the SubWay store outside... most of whom had a bowie or something similar tucked in their pants waistbands (along with all the pocket clips and belt-pouched knives in plain sight for all to see) :D
I found it refreshing to be able to do the same with no fear of an armed response unit being called to 'attend' to me
Here in the UK, a sight like that would have most of the police from within a 40 mile radius headed your way

Excellent info, thanks, I appreciate it.

Thanks,

This means any knife could be construed as illegal

Hold your horses people. SB 308 will basically make it legal to carry any knife if you have a concealed carry permit (even fixed blades and autos). SB 308 will pass unless Perdue vetoes.

That won't work for me. I'm in CA. I'm also a prohibited person, which means no CCW.
