What is double cut?

Hello Everyone I have a quick question. What exactly is a double cut finish. Is it a coating? What's the difference between double cut and Limited edition finish? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Double cut is a beat blasted finish, with two different sizes of blasting media used. It's bare metal that's been roughed up to give a sort of matte, glare-free finish. It looks awesome in person.

I like the DC finish. The only knife I have with that finish is the Dumpster Mutt DC.

And the LE finish is more of a polish on the blade.
