Hey lucky ones, who have a fatty or two :) can you please post a pic showing the thickness of the blade. I know Rick said it is like xm24. Is it 0.183" exactly?

Here is xm24

Oh yes, you did Sir :) I just did not listen carefully :) Now its all clear.

Well, as Rob posted in another thread, the fatty is actually 0.185, not 0.183 like the XM-24

Gress will be happy now. lol

How did you know? :) :D

On a serious note, I think Rob stated that xm24 is .185 too.
I guess this is just the stock measurement. Final production is less a mil or two .. or... my caliper issue, although I zeroed it out carefully :)

You're talking about a difference of 2 thousandths of an inch. That's equal to 0.05mm, which is 1/500th of 1 mm. Not even close to 1 or 2 mm. You wouldn't be able to visualize that small of a difference if you held them side by side.

If you reload you sure know you should be precise with the explosives and the thickness of the fatty is really explosive material :D 2 mils make the difference. :)

????????????????????? :)

.185"-.183" = .002" = 2/1000" = 2 milli-inches or 2 mils
:)

milli-inch? Really? I gotta admit, I've never heard of that one before. Since when did we start using milli with standard measurements? I guess that one would be filed right along with milli-foot, or milli-yard.
