What is going on with the C42 Viele?

The Spyderco Viele is showing up all over the place at below-dealer cost. Way below. What is going on? Is this model being discontinued?

I picked one up because it so cheap. It is one of the only Spyder knives I never checked out before. I wish I had.

Extremely slick opening, by far the best of the "small opening hole" designs IMO, and nicely polished black micarta. Throw in one of the better proportioned Spyderco clips, and you have a winner.
 
Where else are you finding these "way below dealer cost"? Bayou Lafourche has them at $59, but they aren't in stock until Monday. 1SKS, Newgraham, and Knifecenter all price them between $115-125

Inquiring minds want to know!
 
Are the $59 Viele's the original (discontinued) version or are they the newer VG-10 versions? It could account for the lower price if they're the discontinued Viele.

I can only speak of the newer version--and I must say they are nice. I swapped a black Zowada clip with the chrome Viele clip to make the Viele more discreet. A very elegant knife but be careful with that thin point. :D
