What is going on with this site lately?

I have been a member here for about 6 years and it has always been a decent place to go for knife info and talk knives. lately there seems to be an attitude that I don't like. What has changed to cause this?
 
sort of an us vs them mentality. It's a weird one, the only 'them' on a board is the admin and his chosen staff. The rest of us are us. They lead, we follow. They mandate, we suggest. When the wrong people say the wrong things, it goes to hell for a little while.

I don't think it's bad here at all, I've seen much worse on large, established boards.

kgriggs, i take it that ewe dont have much of a sense of humor? lighten up a little and ewe might have a good time here too. neat custom title btw:thumbup:. someone must really like you :D

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You happen to be in my opinion the biggest part of your perceived problem. You ( when you had a gold membership) were rude, insulting, and dis respectful to more than one member here including myself, I didn't even know you and you accused myself of leading a charge of pirates against you...pitiful...

Look in the mirror and apply the golden rule and you might find this place to be much more enjoyable. You get out of it what you put in. You reap what you sow. and about a dozen other analogies...

your "should people need a permit to breed" thread really endeared yourself to lots of people here. ( which I might add is only searchable and acessable if you purchase a gold or higher membership) Now you whine about the "attitude" of this place...unbelievable. after your previous behavior what do you expect...grow up..

I am actually touched. Someone here bought me a sig line. I wish I knew who it was because now I feel bad that I didn't get them anything. Oh well, there is always next X-mas. Thanks secret Santa, whoever you are. LOL!

Listen up! Bladeforums is still a high class place to talk about all things knives. Stick to the knife-related forums -- which are the overwhelming majority of the forums here -- and you won't be dealing with the personalities and the bickering.

If someone says something you don't like, ignore them. Don't get into an argument over some dumb remark and then complain you don't like the arguments around here.

Nobody pushed anyone off the board except the people themselves. Why did they participate in those forums, why did they think they could get into arguments of themselves against that so-called pack of dogs? Bullies? As often as not, it's the individuals themselves that start the war of words against the group. What sense does that make?
 
I was around here about two years ago, had a bit of a break, now I'm back. Apart from not seeing one or two people I used to know, the place doesn't seem all that much different to me.

The funny people are still funny.
The serious people are still serious.
The strange people are still strange.
The idiots are still idiots.

As somebody said, don't hang out in the forums that don't meet your standards.

There are one or two places that are not fully in tune with my delicate sensibilities, so I avoid them, it's easy.

Of course, all this might change when I get back into the cove ....... :D

obviously you edited your post...something about a pack of dogs...again its so much easier to blame others instead of yourself.

What I posted earlier is obviously the truth..it speaks to your character.
 
Hey Ren, I still have your WWRD bracelet you sent me. I was keeping it in the plastic because you told me it was some sort of a collectable and would be worth something. I have my doubts. I want to sell it so I can get $20. I have someone's sig line I want to change! :D

I am actually honored that you spent $20 on little old me. I must have made an impression on you. I can see why you look up to me. I am my own man and not afraid to stand up to jackels when they are attacking someone who can't defend themself.

I am a defender of the weak make no apologies for that. I will always stand up for the individual when they are being attacked by a gang. That is just my nature, it is nothing personal. I naturally route for the underdog. Get used to it because I will never back down against bullies. ;)
