What is it about the Gayle Bradley?

That makes you never wanna take it out of your pocket? In the last three months, I've picked up quite a few Spydies. Native 5 LW, Native 5 G10, PM2, Manix 2 XL, Vallotton, Southard, and I have a SE H1 DF2 on the way.

But something about the GB is different. I can't put the sucker down, and I want to cut ALL THE THINGS with it. It's literally the EDC I've always wanted. Don't get me wrong. I still love and carry my other Spydies. But the GB went immediately into the pocket and may not leave for a while.

I didn't want to like it this much. But I do. :)

I handled one a few days ago. The overall size was unappealing to me, however, the quality of the materials, the design and build were very impressive.

Congrats on the GB.

My Gayle Bradley just oozes quality. Perfect fit and finish, etc. Hoping the new Southard is just as nice!

I'd love it even more if the many cuts on my right thumb (flicking new Spydies open and catching the sharp blade) would heal so I could get used to thumbing it closed.

IMHO it is simply the best Spyderco produced. The quality for the price is unbelievable.

Absolutely agree! This and the manix s110v are the only ones I own 3 of each. A backup for my backup. Absolutely love the Gayle Bradley.

The M4 steel on the Bradley is just wonderful. One of my favorite folders.

The Bradley is probably my favorite Spyderco folder...the only thing keeping me from purchasing one is I'm hoping Spyderco will come out with a G10 version. I simply do not care for carbon fiber on anything, especially on knives. That said, it has got to be the best value of any folder made by Spyderco.

I really like the Peel Ply CF on the Bradley. As I understand it, its cf over G10. I really like the feel it has.
Quite different from pure Carbon Fiber imo.

Can really see it on the peel ply CF Yojimbo 2.....carbon fiber through and through.

The GB is laminate CF/G10 and not peel ply CF like the Yo2.

The Gayle Bradley IS NOT PEEL PLY. (sorry for hollerin')

Peel ply has a very rough finish, not the smooth CF laminate such as on the GB/Chap, etc.

The Bradley is actually twill carbon fiber and G10 laminate.
Furthermore, I own a Bradley. And it is not smooth like regular carbon fiber. It has a nice - very nice textured feel to it.

Well, you said peel ply was pure cf....

Right, but the GB is not peel ply, I got confused on that for a minute, had to go look at mine.

You said your GB was peel ply CF. My Yojimbo 2 is peel ply CF, which is not a laminate, but CF through and through.

Peel ply CF is a process in which a plastic mesh is laid over the carbon fiber as the last layer, and resin applied. The plastic mesh is peeled off before the resin dries, creating the "peel ply" finish on the CF......it feels quite similar to the rough texture of G10.
