Just judging from these two poor photos, what version 110 do you think this is? Any guesses?

With the three large scale rivets, stainless rocker rivet, and the non-radiused edges, it just about has to be one of these three: (1) 2 dot fifth version, variation seven, (2) 3 dot, or (3) 4 dot, 1st variation.

Turns out to be a three dot. It was for sure someone's user, but not that bad and worth the $20. It will go back to Buck for a cleanup with my next shipment.

I'm sure it will David. I've sent in others that were worse and they came back looking great. I'll take some "before" pictures to compare later.

I thought I'd add some "before" pictures for future reference. It's not the best, but worth the money IMO and worthy of a trip back to Buck for a cleanup.

Now to pick out some more to send in with it. I know I have a few around here that need some beautification.

Those are some nice looking Macassar scales. I bet it looks real nice cleaned up! Nice score:thumbup:

Thanks, I'm sure it will look great after some professional help. I like those scales myself and I'm looking forward to the new buildouts that have the Macassar scales.

From Joe:

"The story is what makes these knife special so here they are:
The 110 and 112 were made with vintage macassar ebony inlays that I hung onto back when we made the switch from ebony to our current handle material. The blades for both knives were discovered in our parts archive."
