Looks like portable drink mixing cups.
The perforated one is probably used for straining ice out of a mixed drink.

Thats what i thought but dont think so because the strainer would leak if you tried to pour a drink thru it but i could be wrong.

My first thought was it's a drip coffee maker, but the more I look at your pictures the more confused I get....

The smaller ones appear to be stirrup cups, for toasting before a fox hunt using beagles.

Is the larger one insulated? Maybe for straining the sloes out of gin ;)

Might the perforated one be for sprinkling cinnamon over a hot port?

yeah, it *does* look like some sort of 'camp' mixing/drinking setup but i dont know for sure. googled 'stirrup cups' and saw some stuff that looked similar.

No there not insulated and the only thing i see on them on the bottom of the large cup it says japan thats all . The small ones shot cups i dont know ? Got me stumped.

I'd bet cocktail set, I'm not sure what the one thing that looks like an ashtray for a cup holder is for, but I'm pretty sure the "strainer" you see is actually a juicer. Does one half fit into the other? or the one with the tabs slide into the other one and the tabs do something?

Interesting.

O.k. i was wrong the small cups say Japan the larger one with the (strainer? ) says DRGM Germany that might help huh.

Googled it looks like cocktail shaker it is didn't see the mark's when i first looked but i see them now don't see the exact one but that's what there known for making don't see how it would work maybe there's a piece or pieces missing

The two big cups - is one slightly smaller than the other? If so they might be a miniature Boston shaker. The perforated top would then be a strainer.

If I were to make a cocktail with that set up, I'd invert the small cup into the large one. Shake to mix. Use the strainer to be rid of the ice, mint leaves, whatever. Strain into the other big cup and drink. :)

The smaller cups seem too small for cocktails. They look like shot glasses. ;)

That makes sense not much of a cocktail drinker but i might have to give it a try just have to find a recipe. Wanted to find out what it is was gonna try to get rid of it. The small one's definitely look like shot glasses don't know if the sets go together same metal same cases the small one's say Japan

It is a German Zepplin cocktail shaker set. Not too many still around!

Do you have the larger shaker, looks something like a big steel rocket with fins at the bottom to stand on?

Flip the perforated lid over and it should fit inside the rim of the big cup. It's for juicing limes.

OK i don't have the stuff to make a cocktail but i have a lime and yep works great what a handy piece of gear this turned out to be. A Margarita maybe? Thanks everyone mystery solved just wonder if it's part of the Zeppelin set wish i had the rest if it is. Rich

When bartenders use a full size Boston shaker they seldom fiddle with a strainer. They finish shaking, then hold the shaker horizontally over the appropriate glass. Then they crack the seal between the two shaker containers. Just enough to let the cocktail pour out. Not enough to let the ice and stuff pour out.

If you wanted to do it that way you'd need a separate drink glass.
