I was given a paring knife with brand Justinus printed on the knife.
I am wondering on the steel type of this german knife, anyone know?
Searching English page on Google doesn't return the result I want.

I am wondering whether it uses the same steel as Wusthof, x50CrMoV15 58HRC?

Wusthof has two levels of HRC. Their stamped blade is softer then the forged.

As for the actual steel they use. Who knows? It's the secret squirrel, "Solingen".

Nearly all German (and French too I believe) cooking cutlery use some variant of 4116.
Which generally means tough, HRC between 56-58 or so and extreme corrosion resistance,
I would guess Justinus knives to fall into this categpry.

So it's more to x55 but has Vanadium.
I just thought that German occasionally use x50.

Yes, they tend to use only Solingen word.
Even chinese ones there also tend to use Solingen.
