What is like a Boker 2030?

I own two pocket knives, one cammilus (sp) and one Boker ceramic/titanium model 2030.

I REALLY like the Boker because it is about 2 1/2 inches long when it is closed and I like the style. It also feels like it is built really well, at least to me it feels well built....

SO, can anyone suggest a well built small knife of about the same size? I like the style and am not interested in getting one of those with rounded sides, wood look or horn look.

Thanks, a knife neophyte,
Bob

Welcome to Bladeforums, Bob. :)

There are so many knives that fit your request, I'm sure you will be inundated with replies :D I'll start it off by suggesting the Fallkniven U2, a lockback with an astoundingly sharp 2.5" blade.

Thanks for getting things started! Some of the problems I am having are:

Not knowing which manufacturer is good.

Even if I do look at a manufacturer it is difficult to get a relative size from pictures. Thus I find myself looking at a bunch of knives that are way to big.

One I thought looked interesting was the Benchmite. But I have no clue if it is of any quality.

Thanks again,
Bob

The Benchmite is tiny, but very high quality. To some extent, you can trust certain companies to maintain a basic level of quality, while others are more erratic. Benchmade is good. So is Spyderco, and Spyderco specializes in small knives, although they also have a few massive folders as well.

You may want to read the current thread Manufacturer Reputation Poll for opinions on different company's quality.

Bladeforums is supported by its affiliated online store, One Stop Knife Shop, which is a good place to check out pictures and specs of knives you might be interested in. When I was starting out, I would sketch a life-size picture of the knife, from the specs, to get an idea of the size.
