I've seen this term "poboy" occasionally used in reference to some Emerson knives, but do not know what it means. Can anyone please explain to me what this is?

It is a production model Emerson that has been customized by a "pimper", like Nathawut, usually to look similar to true Emerson customs. Po'boy is an expression relating to the fact that one is too poor to afford the real custom model. The term itself comes from the Great Depression I believe.

Hmm I see, ok thank you.

Can you say about how much it costs to give a production model the look of a true Emerson custom? Ballpark figure; I'm sure it can vary.

It's what you become, once you are addicted to Emerson Knives! Your wallet will never be the same, ever! :D

Andrew just listed a po boy micro commander for sale!

If I hadn't just got an OD Tiger I would have been all over it.
