What is rock lock? I purchased a ZT 0560 and have heard mention of this issue popping up with some of them

I think you mean "lock-rock".
It's when your blade tang and lock face don't perfectly mate, which causes the frame lock to "rock" back and forth. It doesn't completely compromise the lock, but it sure makes you think twice about really trusting it with your fingers in the way.
I haven't heard of any 560s having this problem and mine is solid as a rock, but it is possible with any frame lock.

My ZT 560 does have a slight "lock rock". Although I'm not sure if it is what is typically considered "lock rock" or not since it is caused by the lock bar flexing inward toward the handle. It actually doesn't affect the lock function at all since after that slight bit of movement additional force doesn't cause anymore movement.

I read somewhere that bending the lock bar further to the right can solve the problem, but I haven't tried it.

This is lock rock, this was my personal 0561. I sent it back to ZT and they fixed it right up and i had it right back in my hands about a week later. It was a brand new 0561 and started with a little bit of a sticky lock, then quickly progressed to this. Once they fixed it, i was very happy with it.

My 560 just started doing this same thing. But, mine completely unlocks. I have to send it in.

Not enough tension on the lock bar. Could be caused by hyper extending over time when disengaging the blade.

Frame locks that flex just flat-out scare me. Gotta be a stiff knife for this type of lock.

I just received my 560 back from Kershaw/Zero Tolerance/Kai today. It took about 10 days from when they received it.

The lock side was replaced. It has the thinner cut on the locking bar. It does not unlock anymore. I am now very happy!

I hope that it stays working properly now.

Man am I glad I found this!

I have the same exact problem with my 0550. I really thought that I was just stuck with it.

I will be dropping it off at the post office first thing tomorrow.

Thanks for posting this.

Yeah definitely...mine just started developing lock rock over the last day or so...its getting sent in this week.

wow...was thinking about getting one of these but don't really want to deal with all this..is it worth it

lock rock sucks...:/ I had that issue with the liner lock on an Emerson 2000 Commander, but after stripping and putting her back together, all was well..! Locks up solid now, strangely enough.
