Hi, i am newbie to this board and is searching for information on the Spyderco C51GP plain edge knife. i saw one at a local cutlery shop. Can't find any information on the Spyderco web site on this particular model. How is this compared to the Endura or the Police model. thanks in advance for any information.

As you know, it's a smaller version of the Police. About an inch smaller, bringing it into the range of the C05 Standard and C11 Delica.
The C51 and C11 are pretty close to the same size. As far as I can recall, the C51 has less belly(thinner profile) than the C11.
The g-10 handle(and I believe single liner, clip side) is a major selling point on this model.

I just bought 2 of a dutch auction on Ebay, $40 each.
A good price I guess since the PE's don't come around often.

For comparison, a G-10 police is:
4 1/8" 105mm, 9 1/2" 241mm, 3.4 oz 97g, Tip-Down
and a G-10 Standard:
2 7/8" 71mm, 6 1/2" 165mm, 2.7 oz 79g, Tip-Down
Odd is, that the Standard is smaller, but heavier. I wonder if that's because of the blade thickness, or due to the more 'belly'.
