What is that knife in the Bladeforums logo?

Weird question, I know.

To me, it looks a little bit like an Al Mar. Something about the grind.. Anyone know if the logo is based off a real model?

It was a knife I intended to make. Blackie Collins and I sat down and using my hand drawings we came up with the design. It was going to use his spring assisted mechanism and this was long before the current batch of spring assisted knives. It was also going to be offered as a full auto as well.

It's a generic automatic knife, not any company in particular now.

FYI, Mike Turber was the founder and original owner of BFC, and Spark is the owner now.
