What is the 2005 Mark on tang?

I stopped by the local hardware store today to buy a new 110. I got it home and opened it to admire it, and noticed a little outline of the state of Idaho on the tang after which is says "Buck 110 U.S.A." in three lines to the right.

Being an Idaho native, I'm thinking that's a pretty nifty thing, so I went and bought a second one to put away. The question is, is this the mark for 2005? If so, I guess I better go shell out for one each of all my favorites this year so I can get the Idaho outline on them.

Does anyone know for sure?

The way I understand it, the 2005 date tang is the outline of Idaho on USA made knives. And a T laying on its left side for non US 2005 knives. I have a China 373 with a T laying on its Left side. And a 2004 110 with the upside down T.. 2003 was the regular oriented T.

I have seen the updated list of codes. Just can't find it right now.

On Edit: The updated list of codes is in the March 2005 BCC news letter. The T laying on its right side is for 2006.
I still haven't found documentation saying for sure that the T laying on its left side is for 2005 non USA knives.

LFH has it right. USA made Buck for 2005 will have Idaho outline in lieu of the normal year code.

Mr Hubbard,
has buck consitered useing other state outline stamps for year marks? or consitered a 50 state set comentrave knives like they have for other states ?

My understanding is that the Idaho outline tang mark, is the result of Buck moving production to Post Falls, Idaho from El Cajon, California, and will be used on all Buck USA knives.

for 2005 only, then we go back to the normal year code rotation.

334dave,
I really like the idea of a 50 state set! How cool! I'm not a huge fan of blade cut outs but maybe if they did that for this set. Make the cut out only 1/4" or so in size.
I not real keen on using the states for a date code though because I don't think i would live long enough to collect all of them. Lets see, I'm 40 something, plus 50 something years to collect them all...Hmmm, I might make it! :D

I too am not a fan of blade cutouts, fwiw.

State year code stamps probably won't work with so many states looking like squares or rectangles.

But go ahead and do one for Texas! :D :D

Maybe they could make the cut out like a thumb hole. I realy like the idea of a 110 one haned opener. I can open my 112 and 110 s with one hand but it would be easier with a thumb hole. Thanks John
