Fiction or Non fiction, What is the best book you have ever read?
What book you wish you could forget to read again?

Turning to you guys cuz I am in desperate need for some good books now. I hate reading rubbish books and finding out after investing hours in them.
So what is that book that you couldn't put down or that touched you or changed something in you?

zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance. weird, rambly, and nuts, but deep thoughts for thinking. Also Hitchhikers Guide. As much as I disagree on nearly everything with what Orson Scott Card spouts publicly, Enders game, and the Worthing Saga are both great. The first Dune books are still relevant and still great.

The Bible. I suggest everyone try to read it once through in 90-120 days without getting bogged down so as to get the big picture.

11-22-63 by Stephen king. It was really good about a guy going back in time to try and stop the Kennedy assassination .

Yes I like the name of the wind also, wish the third would come out already. The dark tower series is good as well.

Better Times Than These by Winston Groom

Fields of Fire by James Webb

Chickenhawk by Robert Mason

We had this on disk from the local library for our cross country drive to California last fall. I have to hand it to King, when he gets going he comes up with a deeply absorbing work that can drive you nuts if you think about it too much!! King defiantly turns out some fascinating stuff, if bizarre.

Armor by John steakley, Mars trilogy by Kim Stanley Robinson, cat's cradle by Kurt vonnegut, ringworld by Larry niven, American Gods by Neil gaiman, Neuromancer by William Gibson, and the moon is a harsh mistress by Robert a. Heinlein.

Those are some good ones off the top of my head that I've read recently, that haven't been mentioned already.
