What is the best but cheap beginner forge?

I am starting to collect knives. But at the same time want to experiment with making my own edged weapons, as kind of a therapy/outlet. I have always been interested in the process, but lack any real knowledge of where to start. Any ideas on how I could start a basic set up?
My main interest would be making fixed blade knives and maybe some hawks. I can't spend too much because I have a family. Any and all information would be great.
