Im pretty sure telling people how much and where to get it, if not a supporting dealer is deal spotting. Maybe a mod can chime in.
The Op doesn't ask for dealers or links but I believe given the subject it will happen and even if no links or dealers are mentioned driving sales towards non-suppprting dealers seems inevitable.

Where does it say anything close to that in the deal spotting rule? I would love a mod to chime in and clarify the "rule" that doesn't exist.

Just make sure you are deal spotting from sites on the BF approved vendor list, and you are good to go!

All the best dealers are BF member dealers imo. Even if they aren't the cheapest, I would buy from them anyway.

IMO, the old wording was clearer, if a little more roughly worded, but the intent is still clear in the new wording. Advertising deals is limited to deals at sites with dealer memberships. The mods won't ding you for deal spotting for a dealer member, but even that isn't quite the intent. Talking about deals should be limited to the exchanges.
