I looking for a over 4" blade length, high quality, under $200 tactical folder. Is the large sifu folder the best?

I have both a Sifu and a Spyderco Military. You want over a four inch blade, so the Sifu or Cold Steel Vaquero Grande are your two main choices. I really like both my Sifu and my Military, but they are distinctly different knives. If what you mean by "tactical" is "sport/utility", then go for the Spyderco. More useful (to me) blade shape/grind, better opening mechanism (hole), and better steel (at least until REKAT starts using D2). OTOH, if "tactical" to you signifies "killing people" or "scaring the crap out of people" than your best bet is the Sifu. You can find a Military for around a hundred, Sifu for about twenty-five more. Either way, you really can't go wrong with either of these knives. I'd probably stay away from the Vaquero Grande, just because many people dislike the serrations, I don't the handle, and I don't really like Cold Steel folders.

Buy the Vaquero from Cold Steel. You will not be sorry. Check the for sale section here. I got mine for $30.00.

The Sifu may well be the best with over a 4 inch blade, but if knives with blades of right around 4 inches will do, the Buck Strider, Spyderco Military, Microtech Elite and Emerson Commander are great knives.

I use my Vaquero Grande for hacking through the woods, it's a pocket machete for going through vines and thornbushes. Don't worry about the serrations, just steel it lightly on the flat side to clean up the edge and it will go back to zipping through anything. For the price you can't beat it.

But don't wave a six inch blade around the street. Get a (just under) four inch tactical like Keith described, and you'll be legal in a lot more jurisdictions. If you're looking for intimidation, the Commander will do just fine.

The Camillus Cuda has 3 15/16 long blade and easy to deploy
My daily carry since they came out.

Cold Steel Vaquero Grande wins in the best buy division, the REKAT Sifu in the over all division. The difference in price is nearly 75 dollars, and my VG opens very smoothly and has a comfortable handle. The Sifu has a lock that is second only to the Carnivore (740 lbs), and I like the REKAT pocket clip better. The REKAT is more utility oriented, but the VG will shear better when sharp.
