What is the best style of sharpening stone to use on a S30v Buck 110?

Hey, so the title pretty much explains it. I have a buck 110 with an S30v blade. I do not abuse my knife by any means. It should only need a slight touch up once every month or two. I am wondering which type of sharpening stone would work best.

NOTE: I have not sharpened this knife before and it is still very sharp with the factory edge... if that helps. :)
Thank you!

A good question and you have a very good blade there. For my hard steel blades, which are mostly d2 , I use 11.5 X 2.5 inch DiaSharp diamond bench stones. I use 3, a 325 mesh coarse and a 1200 mesh extra fine, and a 8000 mesh for that extra smooth and sharp edge. I don't know what degree angle you should sharpen you Buck s30v blade, but usually I like to hold my knife at a 20 degree angle so that your edge isn't blunt at all. Good luck.

I use a Norton SiC 2X8" combination stone or a Norton fine India combination stone (coarse/fine). Either can be delivered to your door for 20$ and will cut any steel. Plus, offer good economy and will be handed down to your grand children. DM

For touching up, I just use a $10 ceramic 1000 grit benchstone.
Works perfectly for all my knives, whatever the steel may be.

I use the Lansky clamp system with diamond hones. Takes a little bit the first time, to get my edge, but after that S30V is easy to touch up and does stay sharp longer, for the things I do.

Am a deer hunter and have played with 420 and S30V. Get 2.5 to 3 field dressings out of the 420 and 5 and a half or so out of S30V. Just my non scientific observations and years of guttin and skinnin.

Here is my currently preferred sharpening system.
Buck diamond benchstones in 375 and 750 grit, and a 1000 grit ceramic benchstone :)
These are working great for me on all the different steels on the Buck knives I have.

(I also have a dual sided carborundum stone that is currently retired due to being oily and messy, although it cuts through all the steels too)
