Currently I am using the Sentry Solutions Marine Tuf-Cloth to protect and preserve all of my balisongs. The package says its safe for plastics and wood, but I'm concerned. Does anyone here have any experience using this product on wood, plastic, micarta, or any other types of insert materials? Or maybe you've found something better?

Second, What is the best lubricant? I've heard alot of great stuff about Militec-1, but I haven't had the opportunity to pick any up yet. Is there anything else better?

Thanks In Advance For Your Input,

I love my Tetra Gun Oil for my lube, Gollnick says that it is 2nd only to Militec-1, Tetra smells kinda gross at first though, like a cat urinating on the floor (that's what my dad thought it was

Is the Marine Tuf-Cloth safe for Micarta or wood inserts. Does anyone have something better that they use?

Would you bother to use Militec-1 on your PC Custom balisong if you weren't going to flip it?

Here's the knife in question

For the pieces that aren't going to be used, I use Renaissance wax to protect the handles, blade, sheaths, etc..... I've used MilTec-1 on ALL my 'stuff' since I acquired a 'Sniper's Kit'(an 8oz. bottle, a .5 ounce bottle, and a needle applicator); enough to probably last the rest of my natural life!!!!! I've wiped down all my firearms with it, inside and out, and use it on all my knives lubrication points with the addition of heat from a hair dryer. It really does a great job, especially on a bead-blasted or parkerized finish, of getting in the pores and inhibiting oxidation. It only takes a small amount of either product mentioned to do the job. Well worth the investment!!!!!!
