What is the Boss Street in charge of?

I own a Boss street knife. I was wondering what was the main purpose for it. I really believe that it would be great for defense/fighting. It is has all the features that make it excellent for stabbing. The INFI steel is hard enough to crush bone not get stuck in it. Also, the convex edge would assist in crushing through the body. I mention this because I was reading about the trench knifes and how the soldiers did not use them because they would get stuck in bone while stabbing, consequently; The soldiers would use their shovels instead. If the Boss street was not designed for fighting please explain what " combat knife " means. I love my Boss Street! Note: I collect knifes and do not use them to kill any living thing. I would if someone was trying to end me. I have seen many videos that kind of thickened my emotional skin. It helped me stronger but it came at a price.

Combat Knife (to me) is not for fighting.. I will use a knife but I would rather use a gun! The purpose is the same a survival knife. Remember in combat they are camping most of the time, sleeping in their clothes with backpacks on or by their side. So they use a knife a lot, and would use it to kill but more for everyday work and survival. my 2 penny's

I think it makes a great all around camp knife.

The Boss Street is in charge of the Employee Streets. Obviously. :foot:

Funny, I don't find it a good fighting knife at all. I don't see much chance of a small knife like that crushing bone. The proper fighting knives from Busse, on the other hand, like the Argonne Assault and the Mr. Mofo, have features that are really obvious in how they help out in fights: penetration tip, blade catch, longer reach, sharpened spine, pointed knuckle guard, skull crusher.

I'm with Dave. It's a great camp knife and that's what I use mine for.

And yeah, they may be called the Busse Combat Knife Company, but they do make more than combat knives, fortunately!

I agree with both above posters. A combat knife is an all around fairly hard user. Dedicated fighting knives don't need to be designed for hard use because they're rarely used (for fighting) for more than several seconds or maybe just a minute or two. The only thing required of a fighting knife (performance wise) is that it doesn't break, so, they are generally heat treated to a lower rockwell hardness since edge retention is not as important as toughness. Since we're talking INFI here, none of this matters because you don't need to compromise. You can have edge retention AND toughness. The BOSS Street would make an excellent COMBAT knife.

Welcome to the forum Ben. Hope you don't mind me calling you BenDover for short.

Strange first post...

Most of us don't worry about the blades "stabbing" ability. As most any chunk of sharp steel can do the same thing. And in that regard, your post is a bit disturbing.

You don't know a guy named Uncle Jarvis do you???
