What is the buckle for?

This might be a stupid question, but what is the intended use of the plastic buckle/clip on the belt loop of the sheaths that come with the BK&T line??
I really like this line of knives made by Camillus....I now have the Machax, Brute, Magnum Camp and the Companion.
Now all I need to do it be patient to get the Bush Hog! .....

Ron,
You are a BK&T over achiever! Thanks for being the first BK&T collector that I know of.....yet

The extra buckle is an addition form the good folks @ EDGEWORKS, the folks that make the sheath. It remains unused by 99% of our customers, but it will accept an accessory 'kit' from EDGEWORKS that helps with folks in LE and the military. Its called the 'JUMP SHEATH ACCESSORY KIT'. Te kit has extra webbing and buckles that attach to sheath and lets the knife ride lower on the thigh. Its especially important for entry team members that need to have quick access to the TacTool, but are wearing body armor. The kit ia a nominal fee, it escapes my mind at the moment, but I believe that it is $12 or so, and avialible direct from EDGEWORKS. EDGEWORKS went ahead and added the buckle to every sheath, no charge, so that IF someone wanted to use the Jump Kit, they wouldn't have to drill out the rivets to add the buckle later.

So, if you want to wear your BK&T down on your thigh, give Scott and the MARINES @ EDGEWORKS a call, for a Jump Kit, if not, the buckle is there for free.

Have a HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Thanks, Will, that is kind of what I thought it might be for. Did not necessarily think of Edge Works, but more like hooking the sheath to a web harness or ALICE pack etc.
I am still trying to think of a reason to get the Tac-Tool but in my mind I can do anything with what I have got that the T.T. can do. I especially like the Magnum Camp, it does not know that it is not a Machax or Brute and SCREAMS to "let me try it, let me try it" first! and the funny thing is that it CAN do it to a large degree!......

Will, does Edgeworks have a web page? I tried edgeworks search and got a company named EDGEWORKS that carries darts and knives but did not see any mention of sheaths or even the BK&T line of knives.

Acutally, I think it's at:
http://www.tacticalholsters.com/

Unfortunately, I can't find a picture of the Jump Kit (I found it for $15 after hitting their 'order' button). Too bad, I think a lot of people would buy one if it just looked good!
