I saw a bunch of villager models in the website, and they looked as if they had been produced by the same person at about the same time. But as compared with the other advertised models, what is a Villager?

I am not an authority on it but from my understanding a Villager model means that the blade is not highly polished, the pins that hold the handle are like basic brass, any of the metal on handle is not highly polished. There may be visible signs of the laha black epoxy tree glue stuff around the handle.
I think the Non-Villager models have highly polished blades, handles, fittings, maybe more fancy looking like white metal, wood handle may be carved or engraved, prob no epoxy visible.
I think the strength of the khuk is the same between villager and non villager its just that the villager is less fancy looking and less polished up and more for people that would mainly use the knife for work or utility. The fancy non villager models some people buy those because they want to also be able to display it or for collection purposes.

I may be wrong, probably a guy like Karda would know exactly what the difference is I just thought I'd give u my quick opinion.

You pretty much got it, Kaz.
Except for the pins, their the same kind we always use. Usually steel or white brass.
Only thing i can add is that Villagers can sometimes vary in finish, from nicely done to down & dirty ugly depending on the source and materials.

Thanks JayGoliath that is a super link. Excellent villager that I am praying to the Khukuri Fairy for. I know she will get me one... right?

Love this knife's rustic blade.

Looks a lot like this type of Malaysian. So the design must be very good for various tasks.
