I saw one go in like 1 minute the other day. Wondering if anyone remember a faster sale at the Classifieds?
 
I remember a guy buying a kukri so fast that the server recognized his post as the first post. I cant find the thread though...

Kinda scratching my head as to how that happened, the first post would have already had to have been posted, for him to see the knife for sale and respond?????
 
THe only possibility to be any faster would be if the sale post and the "I'll take it post" were stamped with the same minute.

That would take an unusual combination of circumstances, where the person who bought it had just loaded or reloaded the page within seconds after the sale post was made. Anybody currently looking at the main sale page wouldn't see the new post appear unless they refreshed.
 
Naw, that was happening a bit a few months ago-the old server's clock was a lil' screwy and was occasionally posting thing out of order:D Happened outside the exchange, too.
 
also, in the realm of HI wares, the sharks were watching Yangdu's pic host. New pics had the same url, save for the new date, so you could have a look at the pic once uploaded, but before she started the thread.

ie, if the today's pics were www.HIDOTD.com/07JUN.jpg, tomorrow you could type www.HIDOTD.com/08JUN.jpg and refresh until something came up. Then just post immediately when the thread appeared because you already knew what you wanted in the pic.
