Hi all,

Quentin Tarantino's world war 2 movie "Inglorious Basterds" is still a few months off, but already a pre-release poster can be admired here. It's not exactly subtle, mind.

My obvious question is, what's the knife in the picture?

I don't know anything about the film, but it says in that pic something about Nazi occupied France. If they tried to make an accurate movie you may need a WWII period expert to figure that one out.

Hard to say. You can't see much of the knife. Could be a Randall model 1, which would fit the period. Mighty nice knife, too.

They don't make historic movies anymore sadly. They make historic entertainent... :barf:

he's directed 2 of my top 10 movies, reservoir dogs and pulp fiction:thumbup::thumbup:
So he cant be all bad:D as far as that being a legit poster it looks a little suspect to me just doesnt have that tarantino movie poster feel to it

He just strikes me as a giant nerd...not the popular one at school that fixed girl's computers and did pranks on their buddy's facebook accounts, but that one that like, had the two other super nerdy friends and they read comic books and played dungeons and dragons.

His movies aren't my thing (in fairness, haven't seen pulp fiction or dogs, but I have seen all of his other big ones), but eh, different strokes.

I have. Usually unique and with some good parts but kind of crazy.

Ive seen him interviewed and he seems like an idiot, or maybe someone with a genuine mental disorder.

he is eccentric for sure, but most artists are. he is always flipping out in his interviews lol..

I'll chime in that Tarantino's movies suck. No originality, all film school geek played-out dialogue. He's watched a million movies, and copied to the best of his ability. Not very impressive to me. My two cents.
Oh yeah, and he comes off like a douche bag in interviews.
