Time to play dueling threads! since we have a thread asking about the most used tool on your multitool what's the least used tool you have on your multitool? for me it's the saw. I've only used the saw once or twice in the years i've carried a multitool.

I don't drink so my bottle opener is hardly ever used and I don't think I've ever once used the corkscrew except to take out the little glasses screwdriver.

Yeah I guess I've never used the hook thing either on my cybertool, I forget it's even there.

Probably the can opener. I carry a Soldier. I used the can opener once, just to get the feel of it. I used it once as a phillip screwdriver. I use the other tools pretty often. Oddly, I use the bottle opener pretty often to pry frozen burger patties apart.

Dueling threads - I like it! :D

Least used (never actually) is the awl on my 111mm Soldier. (The awl on my alox Vic's gets used all the time).

On multi's it's the blade . On SAK's I'd say metal saw/file - not that i would forego one . I only ever use the toothpick for cleaning pocket lint out of the SAK .

The corkscrew.

I've used it a few times, and prefer it to the ah-so style, but I just don't drink much wine.

On my Classic SD: The file on the screwdriver.

On the leatherman: all the files on it. I just don't need to file stuff very often at work or at home.

The file for me too. Even though my Spirit gas the best file I've seen on a multitool, I find myself saving it in case I run into a situation where I need to use it. Files last a while, but they ARE consumable and I don't want to wear mine out just in case. :o

I was gonna say bottle opener but I use it to clean the mud from boots. I did use the corkscrew bottle of wine once. So I pick awl. Dont think I ever used the awl.

I've never used the toothpick or Wire stripper.

I have never used the can opener for opening cans, except to try it out, but it is useful for removing staples.

It's the hook that was designed to tighten shoelaces or carry string wrapped packages? I might use it more if someone comes up with a new practicle application.

On my 17 year old Swisschamp, the only implement I have never used is the backspring mounted small screwdriver, and although I don't remember ever using it, there are marks on the chisel that indicate it got used for something.
Except for those, every other SAK implement gets employed at one time or another, but not always for what it was designed. Likewise on my Charge TTi, but the micro screwdriver least. I would have preferred an awl, but a mod fitting into the clip slot does the job.

How do you guys get by without using the corckscrew. Do you still buy your wine in mason jars and plastic milk jugs. Just kidding. Alot of my wine comes from mason jars and milk jugs. I am a wine drinker though so I always use my corckscrew. I use all the tools on my Victorinox Voyager. The one I rarely use (and I do mean etreemely rarely) is the one they list as a multipurpose hook. I find it funny they call it a MULTI PURPOSE hook and I find the least amount of purpose for it of all the tools in my multi tool. I do find uses for it accasionaly though.
