What knife do you think has the most comfortable handle? Also, what is your hand size? This can be fixed blade, folder, anything.

My Sabatier parring knife is the most comfortable knife I have held.

A Spyderco military and police are really comfortable for folders.

I am still searching for a production fixed blade which is perfect for MY hand. I have gotten close but I am not there yet.

I have Medium sized hands.

The most comfortable folder for me is Spyderco C83 full size Persian.
My hand middium-large

Just about any knife from Bob Dozier, but particularly his Pro Guides Knife. Another is my Swamp Rat Bandicoot. Medium sized hands for me, too.

The most comfy handle in a fixed blade for me, is the Res.C that Scrap Yard Knives has used on their knives!!

And as far as folders go, Matt Cucchiara's ,Tom Mayo's, and Kevin Wilkins make the comfy knives for me.

The Busse line Res-C is good stuff. But so are the many contoured and textured micarta grips that Busse and Swamp Rat put on their knives.

However, I am more about size and shape than material. My hands have callouses from carpentry and outdoor work, so I don't really require a soft handle. When I'm using a big chopper, I tend to wear leather gloves.

Most comfortable handle I can recall holding was actually a cs peace keeper (the big dagger). I never used it for anything, but it felt perfect form my hand. The smaller one felt good to me too. When it comes to folders, I tend to like emerson handles alot, -perticularly the commander and cqc-13. They seem to be well thought out designs. My hands are about average, a bit on the bigger side.

The most comfortable handle on a folder is my Benchmade 710-d2. Fixed blade is my Bark River Bravo - 1.

I have an 8" Gerber BMF which I bought about 15 years ago, and still nothing I have bought since then even comes close to that grip.

In a production folder, the Spyderco Caly 3 - without a doubt
In a production fixed blade - The Buck Vanguard 192
Let me ponder the custom knives, and I will report back. :)
My .02

Dave.

I really like the feel of the Spyderco Persian series. Both small and large. I also think that the small Sebenza is one of the best feeling knives in my hand. Especially for a versatile handle. I thought the Lil' Temp and Dodo were both awesome but there were some hot spots when I gripped tightly. The UKPK and Caly 3 are both  in my book.

The current version of the Buck 112.

I have large palms, with short, chubby fingers.

+1 for emerson comander fits like a glove

The Benchmade AFCK folder fits my large hand very well, as does the Swamp Rat Camp Tramp fixed blade.

Stay sharp,
desmobob
