what is the most energy (battery) saving mode for stopwatches when not in use?

Is it the stopwatch mode or the watch mode? Taking out the battery every time would seem impractical, so I am wondering.

Thanks.

PS I am talking about these things:

With the stop-watch stopped, I doubt that there is any significant difference.

I'm with Gollnick on this, whether it's in watch mode or stopwatch, thee clock would still be running to keep time. The only thing with keeping it on stopwatch mode would be to keep it so the start button can't get bumped and start the timer running accidentally.

..and even while in the stopwatch mode with all zeros, there are still couple of small dots flashing for some reason.

Thanks for the advice y'all.
