A friend of mine told me a terrible story about just such an event. I will let him repeat it if he must. I have lost several but alway's seem to get lucky and find em. Most recent was a bladeforums native....which I found right wear it could not have been. God Bless-paul

I must be a cheapskate. I lost a Spyderco Delica about ten minutes after I found it (that was five years ago) and I am still kicking myself for it.

With all my faults, losing stuff is not one of them. I've still got my Parker T-ball pen from High School. I have lost knives however most of them while I was in the Navy, and a couple since, cost about $20 tops. I refuse to carry any knife I can't aford to lose or replace easily. I like to show off as much as the next guy, but I really can't see sense of carrying something that expensive. Sheet happens!

I too lost a Spyderco Delica, it was clipped to my chest pocket while deer hunting. I believe the sling from my gun must have caught the clip and sent it flying when I removed the gun from my shoulder. This was my first Spyderco one with the narrow plastic clip and all serrated blade. Sure I have since bought others but it hurts to lose your first one.

I just lost a custom lockback... $275

Busse Basic #5. I'm not sure if I dropped it somewhere on a trail or if it was stolen out of my pack at a rest stop, but it's gone now. Sucks.

A Terzoula ATCF I bought in the mid 80's. Remained misplaced for 10 years after a move up north. I found it a year ago, started carrying it, and promptly lost it again after 2 days reunited. It's reeeeally lost now. I can feel it.

Well not lost but stolen was $50,000 worth of knives while doing a series of Texas Trophey hunter shows in Texes. Among the knives was an Almar/Valloton auto $2,600, a Gil Hibben Bat (I was holding for Sylvester Stallone) $2,200 and a boat load of others.

I went to watch a movie with my partner. Came out and my van was gone. Man what a sinking feeling. I got the van back but no knives.

Another story.

A guy breaks into my store and steals a crossbow (wholesale about 50 bucks) and a United Cutlery Gil Hibben knife which was sitting right next to a REAL Gil Hibben knife (the same Bat above!) What a moron. Not to mention all the other knives in the case that were worth much more.

If you live in the Baltimore area you may remember a Stun Gun sting a couple years ago. Seems these people stole a bunch of a credit cards and then ordered a bunch of stun guns from me! Another $26,000 down the drain. Oh well......

I thought I had lost the Warenski King Tut Dagger once. But then I realized I never had owned, it which explains why I couldn't find it.
