What is the name of this burl?

I rarely jump in on the "what is this wood" threads, but it looks to be amboyna. It is most certainly not birdseye maple.

It doesn´t smell like other Amboyna burls I have. Are there different kind of that wood with different scents?

Are you smelling the block or while sanding it?
If it isn't as spicy when sanded as your other amboyna, then it may be thuya (too-YA).

According to the data on bell Forest products, those two species have very similar density and hardness, so not easily separated based on those properties.

Yes, I have gotten blocks mixed up and had to sand them to tell apart. The amboyna smelled "spicy" and the thuya smelled more like an incense. Sanded and compared to a known block made it easy to tell the difference.

I tried to sand it but it smells like regular wood. It has also a very different color than the red Amboyna when not moisten. The color is then between orange and beige.
