I bought an exotic hardwood burl block here in norway which I cut into scales, but I don´t know the name of it. Can anybody here help me?

That's what it looks like to me.What about Amboyna? Is that impossible?
According to the data on bell Forest products, those two species have very similar density and hardness, so not easily separated based on those properties. Are you smelling the block or while sanding it?
If it isn't as spicy when sanded as your other amboyna, then it may be thuya (too-YA).
