I suppose they are a custom knife dealer, but I can't find anything about them - no web site, no nothing.

They have a retail store in NY city but that's about all I know. I did sell the owner a folder 3 or 4 years ago.
 
Wow, never heard of it. I am real curious to check that out if anyone knows where its located.
 
Steven Berg and Karen Petersen are from Brooklyn, NYC, and have been quality custom knife dealers for a long time. Only set up at NY area shows, and have worked out of the home for years. No store, just by appointment. It's a side job.

Good people, REALLY nice stuff. Lake's, Walker's, are not uncommon.

I met them at a custom show in MA a couple of years ago, and purchased a Richard Rogers slipjoint from them at what I considered a very fair price.

They seemed like very nice people, but unfortunately, because of their reluctance to maintain a website or storefront, it is kind of difficult to deal with them on a regular basis. They understood this, and hinted that they had found the pace that they preferred for their business, would be happy to meet if I was ever in NYC, etc etc.

That about sums it up for me other than adding very interesting to talk to also. Steve has been around knives a while and has much knowledge.
 
Good to hear. Steve is a member here, with a whopping three posts. Goes by 'Analogist'. They are all a tribute to his upstanding demeanor.
