Keep them sharp and for heavens sake be careful

According to the Spyderco Story (page 81) "The P.I.G. (Pride, Integrity, Guts) model run (approx 2400 - 1920 right handed & 480 left handed models) were made. They have been reported in the $1200 range."
Also according to the Spyderco Story- "Two Limited editions of about 500 knives each one with fully serrated edge, and one with 50/50 edge- were made with titanium handles and ATS-34 blades."
"There were some Police models made with lanyard holes in 1994 but soon discontinued because of rising costs. And there were some made with aluminum handles and TUFRAM coating that was later discontinued because of cosmetic blemishes"
There were also some offered briefly with coated (black) blades
And of course some embellished models were offered( pages 152 - 153 Spyderco Story):
"inlaid scales by David Yellowhorse (1989), cast scales designed by engraver Gary Blanchard (1992)
and a special model featuring engraved scales by Johnny Muns that were presented by Spyderco to honor outstanding Colorado police officers"

Hope this helps

I've had more paper cuts than cuts from knives, but the knives are QUICKLY gaining!

The rarest is probably the P.I.G. model that is for left hand carry. I have one. I think they made 400 or so of them. It is in the Spyderco Book. I don't have it here with me. I also have one of the partially serrated titanium models. They are pretty hard to find. I had a Magnum Research model that had a black coated blade and handle. Hope this helps some.

If my memory serves me well, only about 200 David Yellowhorse models were made before he defected to Buck.

My old Police has a lanyard hole! Didn´t know this could be some sort of collector´s item. Anyone know how much such a variant in good condition would cost me today?

I have a David Yellowhorse police model prototype. It came in a small cardboard box, with a note. It was wrapped in bubble wrap. It's still nice and clean and has never cut anything (not even me), nor has it been sharpened.

You brought up an eleven year dead thread to tell us that? Congratulations on having one. How about some pictures?
