What is the significance of the markings on the backside of the main blade?

I'm looking at two SAKs in my collection. On one side of the main blade, they both say:

VICTORINOX
SWITZERLAND
STAINLESS
ROSTFREI

But on the other side I have one that says:

01

and one that says:

(a picture of a plus sign under an umbrella)
OFFICIER
SUISSE

What he found out is that it is not a plus sign under an umberella but William Tell's crossbow. This symbol is put on Swiss products.
