What is the Smallest Emerson?

I was wondering what the smallest Emerson knife is?

My CQC7 is far and away my favourite knife to carry and use. However, as I get old, increasingly I am not on site but in the office. While a big fan of his work I haven't really been keeping up with Mr Emerson's latest designs.
Essentially, I would like to carry an Emerson in the office, but feel a bit concious of using the CQC7 when I'm not on the construction site. It feels somewhat overkill to use it to open packets of post-its and the like.
Is there a smaller Emerson which would be considered less intimidating I could look at?

Thanks
Matt

For a folder, a mini A100 or a mini CQC 7. If you want the smallest Emerson, go for a La Griffe. ;)

Thanks all for the quick responses. The a100 looks perfect. Are the mini versions discontinued? I could only see the regular size on the Emerson Web site link.

The mini a100 is only done in short runs.

The smallest Emerson is probably the Mini 7 or even smaller are some customs... Like the Viper 2 or the CQC-5.

Thanks for the info mate, will try and track down a mini a100. Otherwise both the regular a100 and mini cqc7 look like good options.

I work in an office and EDC my Mini CQC-7, and I like it in that role. Plenty of room on the handle for four fingers in any grip, and the blade is on the small side but more than capable of tackling the stuff I need it to do -- while not being intimidatingly large (at least, not to my eye).

I handled both the regular and mini CQC-7 before pulling the trigger, and picked the mini in large part because of its size. It doesn't keep me from getting a hand easily into my jeans pocket, and I can carry it in shorts without having to move stuff out of that pocket.

It feels like a "big small knife," if that makes any sense. Basically, thumbs up for the Mini CQC-7 if you wind up not tracking down an A-100. :D

Thank you for the endorsement of the mini cqc7 mate, looking like I'll go that way as I can't really find a mini a100 from a quick Google.
Be good if they did the mini 7 with no wave actually, but I'm sure I'll live, just need to refrain from waving it open to get at that copy paper.

Thanks DaleFuller, the traveller looks good as well. Will see if I can find one.

I have had several of the Mini CQC-7 and a few mini A-100's. After carrying both types I prefer the mini CQC-7 more. I think the hype about the A-100 is more about how it looks rather than how it functions and feels.

How so? If anything, the 7 has the hype behind it for it's non-pc look in comparison to the a100. Both are great knives and I think the mini a100 will be more socially accepted than the 7. I have and love both however.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to post a pic of the mini 7 with a regular and a small sebbie (if possible).
It would be much appreciated.

I caved to temptation and burned my money for the office emerson on a sheepdog :s last week. It was worth it IMO. Now I just got paid again so will get the mini 7 I think.

Somewhat related, I have seen mention of de-waving the mini cqc7. Is this a factory option if you buy the knife via the emerson website or something that is done aftermarket?
Matt

Not a factory option.

You will have to do that or have someone do it for you.

Edit: Learn something new everyday I guess, that looks legit to me.

Anybody got an idea when they started doing this ?
