Tomorrow is six weeks since placing my order for my first Rat. Is production outside of quoted times now or did they forget about me? Just wondering when it might be here. There is a Rats Welcome sign on my mailbox.

Brother, I'm in the next boat behind yours. My boat to china is only 4 1/2 weeks out of port. I am hopeful that I will see the light house at any moment. Howling Rat come home!! :D

I even had MtMike make a nice sheath for it.

Patience.....patience...PATIENCE!!!!

er...at what point does this become a virtue?

Regards,

Shaun.

I wore my patience out waiting for the Rock River Arms Elite Commando 5" 1911 45acp that I had to wait 19 months for. I was quoted 10 months on that one. I got it in January and I still haven't really had a chance to break it in because of all the rotten weather we've had this winter. Really, I just wanted to know out of curiosity not impatience. I have a bad habit of buying things that require waiting time. These things tend to have much better quality than standard production goods. I haven't gone full custom yet and I don't intend to. I think the added quality of full custom is negligable and doesn't justify the extra money and time required.

i do know the war took it's toll on knife deliveries, as soon as we kick there arse in a few days i'm sure things will speed up.:) :)

Kimberholic,

My post was entirely in jest. I too am awaiting the arrival of a Howling Rat. But you've got several more weeks of waiting before you catch up to me. The thought has crossed my mind if the Rats are mythical in nature... Hopefully one will arrive soon and quench all doubt ;)

Regards,

Shaun.

Friend DarkReazon,

When you are told 3-6 weeks one does not expect 3-6 months. If the wait was to be that long you should have been told. If the product can not be provided within the listed time it should be pulled or the site modified to reflect this. Send an email and ask for a delivery date. If you're lucky, it's already on it's way. :)

Just a quick comment.

We are filling all orders as quickly as possible. I do apologize for any delays but right now that is the world we live in and some other orders have taken priority. No one has had any charges made to their CC's until the knives are ready to ship(unless you specifically request that)

As I've already stated we are filling these orders and appreciate your patience. And yes, Shaun your knife will be shipping very soon.

Hello all,

Just checked up on this thread, a few days late, but oh well, here I am. ;) Greymoor, I see your point, but I make an exception for the following reasons.

1.) War's a bitch. If this is the only inconvenience I experience, I will be grateful.
2.) Swamp Rat (and Busse) have acted commendably (sp?) with regards to the war effort, and ensuring that those on the front lines are equipped..
3.) Their product(s) has rave reviews from the knife community. Like good whiskey, I'm willing to wait.

All things considered, sure I'm breaking out in a nervous rash and have become considerably more twitchy than normal, arriving home and running to the mailbox, only to have my hopes and dreams shattered once again (;)), but other than that, as Kurt Vonnegut says, so it goes.

If the world wasn't in the state its in, perhaps I would feel differently, but its a crazy time.

Regards,

Shaun.

(PS: Eric, can I get "Patient Rat" next to my name on the Swamp Rat forums:D ? j/k)

If you can wait for a RRA and the song and dance those guys give you, in regards to delivery times, you should be able to wait for your Rat standing on your head.;)

I got notification today that it went out USPS Priority mail. It won't be long now. Thanks Eric!

Jon
