Can anyone provide some insight on the symbol on this knife? Approximately when did Victorinox stop using this symbol? Thanks!!

I can't remember exactly what it was called but it was commemorating something in Swiss history. It was never a standard shield.

St Christopher, patron saint of travellers, more commonly referred to as the patron saint of soldiers and law enforcers nowadays.

They were a limited run done on and off over a few years, and while not common, they aren't that hard to find if you really look for them.

no file on the phillips shaft (different from the sak of the time which did have a phillips with file- a ranger)-however mine has, in addition to your tools, a large metal file
