what is the toughest Emerson?

If the multi-tool were out, I'd recommend that for military use. Regarding folders, there all good. I like the CQC-8 and the Commander models. The 8 would be easier to sharpen in the field though.

Well, since you did nor specify folding or fixed, I would say that of the knives that are available on the site right now, I would choose the fixed blade karambit, as long as you are looking for a defensive tool. If you are looking for a tough all around blade, I also favor the cqc-8 design, and can say that it's blade design would hold up better to utility use than the karambit.

"Toughest" technically I think they are all the same. Same materials, same lock mechanism, etc. All about versatility of different blade shapes, and what handle ergos work best for you. I like the 15 and the Roadhouse personally, with their modified tanto blades.

Yeah, toughness they are all pretty much the same.

I would recommend the Super CQC 8, Super Roadhouse, and UBR Commander.

greetings all,
toughest? pick one. my commander, i feel, is as tough as my mini-a100 or mach1 or cqc-7 or cqc-15 or cqc-8. boils down to size and shape. all are TOUGH. hope this helps and best regards to all.

I suspect PUK will be about at the top of the list but I havent seen one available in recent times.

I'm looking for a folder and I think I will go with the CQC-7.
Thank You all for the help I really appreciate it.

For some reason, the Super Roadhouse comes to mind. I know I want one. :)
