Here is a 1 1/4 lb head I bought recently. Can any of you 'Good old Boys' identify her origins?

The emblem appears to be a person standing on one foot while swinging an axe or similar tool over head.
He (or she) is facing left of your screen. I tried some yellow chalk to highlight markings, it hasn't worked too well apart from lower part of figure.

I am more of a 'larger axe' person but this one really interests me. I think she would be a good friend when camping, tramping or hunting.

regards...Frank

Kudos to Steve Tall once again, for his eagle eye regarding ID. This would have been an export item with it's n. American-type profile and the crude finishing suggests (to me) that it's late 40s-made or else a 60s discount store type item. For $10 there is no risk for you because the steel will likely be vastly superior to anything currently made that retails for $50 or less.

So with 'Made in Germany' and not East or West Germany is this a post unification piece? Relatively modern?
