My wife and I were arguing about what this eating utensil is called. What do you call it?

Thanks for your help in burying this debate!

It is funny. In Germany we call it - translated - foon.
The word is Göffel. --- bon appétit!

Above request seconded ... however, I want both signatures to sign off on the answer ;)

Spork.
The first time I saw one was about 30+ years ago when a Bojangles opened here.

Which of you was correct ?

No doubt, that is a pair of tamed and completely domesticated Spork. Don't try and breed them to start a Spork herd, they look like they may be closely related....

Getting a Spork with one tine or with six tines means it can't lead a productive existence and would have to be recycled.
Seeing the look on a little Sporks face when it receives this news is just heart breaking... So, DON'T IN-BREED A SPORK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

The typical sporks are poorly designed because when you cut slits into the spoon bowl you reduce the amount of soup that the bowl can hold .However the link above has a properly designed spork.Full sized spoon with proper fork [with serrated edge for cutting meat] Available in different sizes for kids ,adults , serving. In plastic and one size in titanium to satisfy us metallurgists !

That looks like a knork with a spoon attached. What will they think of next? Stop! Don't tell me. I don't want to know.
