What is this handle material?

I picked up this Ruple at a knife show over the summer. The seller wasn’t sure what the scale material was and I cannot tell either. Can anyone suggest what this handle material may be? Thanks!

I can't be certain but it looks like Micarta to me. I am certain that that is one great looking knife though.

That spring/tang transition is non-existent. Great knife you’ve got there!

Yes, it looks like the Ivory Micarta I have on a couple of knives. Very nice knife you have there. I can't make out the Maker's mark but it sure looks like it could be Bill Ruple's work.

I don't think it is shiny enough to be paper Micarta. I'd guess linen.
