What is this knife called?

A curving persian-like blade. The butt end of the handle is curved outwards (sort of like a gun handle) to make striking with it easier.

Maybe you could be more specific as to size and handle material and how old is the knife?
 
Yes, that is what I meant. I think it's called a khandjar. Do you know of any other production blades in this style?

Folders with a curved handle like the Cold Steel Scimitar?

Traditional Spanish navajas have a similar shape which obviously shows Arabic influence.

These are navajas by Cuchillería Expósito. The ones on the top are Albacate style and the ones below are Bandolero style.
