I came up with a design for a paring knife with about 4" of blade length. Then I started thinking it would be good for outdoors - maybe small game? I bumped up the thickness to .110" and here is what I came up with

Now I'm not so sure. What would you use it for?

Thank you for your thoughts,
Andy

Handle is gorgeous! 😍

Assuming the steel/HT is fairly tough , this kind of knife can be useful for a broad range of outdoor tasks .

Is it stainless ? What is the handle made from ?

Looks like a perfect all-arounder. I would say it would be a great outdoors knife, useful for Hunting, Fishing, Camping, etc.

You really don't need a huge knife for those tasks, and that one looks like it is big enough to do whatever you need, but not so big as to be hard to carry and/or use.

Awesome blade!

The steel is AEB-L and I sent it to Bos for heat treatment and 61 hardness.

The handle is two layers of micarta
