I recently aquired a knife I can't find in my book. It has what appear to be bone, or horn scales with a small insert that has "uncle henry" written like a signature on it. It has 2 blades, and appears to be what they call a "Trapper" model according to the pictures of knives by other manufacturers. On the blade it says Schrade, N.Y., USA
285UH. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THIS KNIFE IS AND IT'S APPROXIMATE WORTH IN 98% CONDITION. THANK YOU

schrade still makes Uncle Henry knives. the handles are not stag or bone, they are synthetic. i believe it's called staglon. go to wal-mart & see if they carry your model (i've seen both Uncle Henry and Old Timer knives, both made by schrade, at the wal-mart near me). ;)
or, go to bernard levine's forum.
peace.

The scales are also Delrin and you might check Smokey's catalog or website for them. Trappers are a very popular traditional pattern with Case in the forefront turning them out.
