Anyone know what this is? I can see it's a bottle opener, the key looks like a firearm lock.

It came off some board shorts (swimming trucks for surfers). The comb is for removing surf wax off your board and the bottle opener is for cracking a cold one after you surf! Not for sure on the key thing though.

If we're talking surfing tools, I would think the "key thing" is a hex wrench for adjusting the screws that retain removable surfboard fins. Mike

Infocus2006, your google foo is strong. I expect you're not doing a lot of surfing in your particular area. I actually do have several of the "keys". I've just not seen the the nifty wax comb/bottle opener/fin key tool - getting old and out of touch I expect. Mike

Not much surfing these days in Oklahoma due to the drought!:). I have bought a lot of board shorts since I wakeboard from time to time and some shorts come with these attached in the pocket. I have been known to use the bottle opener!:)

Wait wait wait, I'm calling BS right here. Surfers aren't smart enough to use tools :D

Now, now says they guy who has been surfing for 47 years. :D. Mike

But then again, maybe that's why I lean more toward whiskey or tequila - no tools needed to open the bottle.

Ha! I've always wondered if you could surf in one of those endless-wave indoor pools???

I was wondering if it had something to do with surfing since the comb on the side looked a lot like a wax comb. Good eye

Thanks guys and sorry for the slow response (could not respond for some reason the other night???)! Yes, you could always surf the rapids down the Salmon River here in Idaha, but not sure about hanging ten, except for maybe ten beers in a nylon drag bag! I've heard Skunk has excelled in this activity!
