What is this thing ?

Hi Everybody;


I got this in a trade & it used to be Hog Butchers, He got it at Blade last year.

He says it was a military over run, but that is it.

Does anyone have any idea if it has a name ?

How many were made ?

I think it is super cool but do not know exactly what it is ?

Oh & I made a cool sheath for it

Hmmmm. I know what it is similar too, but that is as far as I am going to go. It is a variation on one of the thus far unreleased blades Jerry introduced in 03 or 04, can't remember which.

It is an unnamed over run.

It's very similar to one of the prototypes that Busse had at Blade when he introduced the new line or the year after that. The prototype had a slightly different pommel but looks like the blade and handle are the same except for the serrations.

It's pretty cool, especially when it's stripped and hand satined with sage G-10 Mag scales.

I'll show it to you at Blade, it's one of my top three favorite Busses.

Nice score, it looks like a HR handle with some sort of SJTAC pimped blade. All in black to, nice very nice.

How thick is that blade? Looks fairly thin! I think that knife would look great in a DC or satin with no serrations.

There were a dozen of the blade pictured by D.B., serrated, at the last Blade show. One of the earlier offerings on Friday. Huge bargain at $217? $227 $237? Something like that.
